Disability and the Church Conference Bookstore
Are you an author with a book that equips the Church? The Disability and the Church Conference bookstore provides an opportunity for your book to reach church leaders, ministry teams, and families passionate about disability, mental health or trauma ministry.
Key Ministry will manage book sales during the conference, handling transactions and payments on your behalf. It is free to place your book in the bookstore, however a small seller’s fee will be applied to each sale to cover processing costs.

Bookstore Agreement and Instructions for Authors
1. Conference Bookstore Overview
The bookstore at the Disability and the Church Conference will showcase books relevant to disability ministry, faith, and related topics. It aims to provide attendees with valuable resources that support and enhance their ministry efforts.
2. Responsibilities
Key Ministry Responsibilities:
- Provide space and staffing for the bookstore.
- Handle sales transactions and customer service during the conference.
Author Responsibilities:
- Submit books for display and sale at the bookstore.
- Provide accurate and complete information via the submission form (details below).
- Set the sale price for each book.
- Agree to a seller’s fee deduction from each transaction (calculated based on Square fees).
3. Submission Form Requirements
Authors must submit the following information:
- Book title, author name(s), and genre.
- Book cover image
- Sale price per book.
- Shipping address for payout.
- Agreement on options for unsold books (details below).
4. Fee Agreement
Key Ministry will deduct a seller’s fee from each book sale to cover transaction costs (e.g., credit card processing fees). The exact fee percentage will be based on the sale price of the book and the Square fee rate applicable at the time of the conference.
5. Payment Process
- Key Ministry will issue payment to authors via paper check up to 30 days after the conference.
- Payment will be sent to the shipping address provided on the submission form within 30 days of the conference’s conclusion.
6. Shipping Instructions

All books must arrive by April 25th to be included in the bookstore.
If you would rather bring your books to the conference, we require them to be dropped off by 10am on Tuesday morning, April 29.Â
7. Unsold Books Options
Authors have the following options for unsold books:
- Pick up in person – Retrieve unsold books from the bookstore on Thursday at the end of the conference.
- Provide return shipping – Send a pre-paid shipping box and label with your books for Key Ministry to return them. Click here for instructions.
- Donate to Key Ministry – Unsold books will be used as giveaways or for future ministry efforts.
8. Additional Terms
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all books provided are in saleable condition.
Key Ministry reserves the right to refuse books that do not align with the conference’s theme or values.
By submitting books to the conference bookstore, authors agree to abide by these terms.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
How many copies should I send?
We do not have a required minimum or maximum number, but we recommend considering your audience and past sales at similar events.
Can I track my book sales during the conference?
We are unable to provide real-time sales tracking. You will receive a final sales report after the conference.
What happens if I forget to pick up my unsold books?
If you do not pick up your books on Thursday and have not provided a return shipping label, the books will be considered a donation to Key Ministry.
How is the seller’s fee calculated?
The seller’s fee covers transaction processing costs through Square.
Are there restrictions on the types of books allowed?
Books should align with the mission of Disability and the Church and be relevant to disability ministry, mental health, trauma, Christian faith, church, discipleship, and inclusion. Key Ministry reserves the right to decline books that do not fit this focus.
Can I offer a bulk discount?
If you wish to offer a bulk discount, please indicate this on your submission form.
Can I promote my book separately?
Yes! If you are speaking at the conference, you may mention your book in your session, and if you are an exhibitor and would like to manage your own sales, feel free. We are unable to accommodate book signings at the bookstore.
Will you accept e-books or other digital products?
At this time, the bookstore is only selling physical copies of books.
What if I need to update my submission form?
If you need to make changes after submitting your form, please contact datc@keyministry.org as soon as possible.
