All About Behaviors

Seeing behavior clearly. Responding wisely.

Behavior is communication—but in real life, it’s not always easy to interpret.

This roundtable creates space for honest, thoughtful conversation around the behaviors we see in children, teens, and adults impacted by disability, mental health challenges, and neurodiversity. Instead of quick fixes, we’ll gather as leaders to think together about what behaviors might be communicating, how our responses shape trust, and how churches can support families with wisdom and grace.

Together, we’ll explore questions like:

  • What might certain behaviors be communicating beneath the surface?

  • How do we respond in ways that are both compassionate and appropriate?

  • Where is the line between accommodation, discipleship, and safety?

  • How do we support volunteers who feel overwhelmed or unsure?

  • How can churches partner with parents without assuming expertise we don’t have?

What makes this a roundtable:
This is a guided, peer-driven conversation—not a lecture. Leaders come to share experiences, wrestle with real scenarios, and learn from one another. You’ll leave with clearer perspective, better language, and practical wisdom shaped by the collective insight of those doing this work every week.
