Tourette Syndrome Roundtable

Tourette Syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary, repetitive movements and vocalizations called tics. According to the CDC, 1 in 50 people have Tourette, half of whom are undiagnosed.

Church leader, we invite you to join this discussion to learn more about Tourette and the isolation often experienced by individuals with tic-related disorders. According to a recent CDC poll, 23% of children and 48% of adults with Tourette have contemplated suicide.

We’ll be joined by Binny Mustafa from the Tourette Association of America, who will provide us with an understanding and awareness of the prevalence of this condition in our communities and how our churches can be places of welcoming and belonging for those living with Tourette and tic-related disorders.

Come ready to share, listen, and collaborate with other leaders who are navigating this too.
