I’m doing a bad job, or so I’ve been told. I don’t always juggle my responsibilities well. But as I come to the halfway point in our summer vacation, I want to remember to enjoy this time, and silence my harshest critic.

This morning, as I planned for the day, I saw that my son’s physical therapist would be coming to the house this afternoon. This morning there was a moment when I felt like a failure, but that feeling quickly passed. I remembered how several years back, that feeling often lingered with me for days at a time, but not anymore.
When Life Is Too Hard
One of the things I love most about the message from God through my friend, it focused on Him and what He can do: “I can move mountains,” not on my lack of faith. God knew I was already so discouraged. I didn’t need to have one more area of failure pointed out. I needed to change my focus, get it off of what I can and cannot do and focus on Him and what He can do.
